If you have ever had a website created or are in the process of having one, you may have heard of the term Content Management System or CMS. This is basically the back end part of you website where you can add content / images / products etc depending on the software used. Many established website developers and companies build their own bespoke systems. Although you may have to pay a higher initial fee to build the site it should save you money in the long term if the system can be amended and grow as your business does. Many people don’t realise that CMS systems vary from site to site and although one system may allow you to do something, another may not. When obtaining quotes from web design companies, ensure that you cover the Content Management Systems limitations and make sure that you have all the functionality you require going forward as often adding something in at a later date can be costly.

Georgia Solves Campaign Finance Data Challenge Via OCR

It collects the reports and makes them available online in a searchable database. In 2013, the Georgia legislature mandated that disclosure forms needed to be transmitted to the commission from local offices by electronic filing... Read More »

Russia’s ongoing dispute with Ukraine, which to this point has brought about the annexation of Crimea, has presented Google with a controversy: a way to draw national borders in Google Maps at a time when there isn’t any consensus. Google claims that it draws its maps fairly and adjusts local versions as required by local laws. “Google Maps makes every effort to depict disputed regions and contours objectively,” a Google spokesperson told us in an email. “Our Maps product reflects border disputes, where applicable. Where we now have local versions, we follow local regulations for naming and borders.” But Äventyret founder Stefan Geens, who has followed Google’s mapping services for years through his blog Ogle Earth, took issue Tuesday with the malleability of borders on Google Maps. He argues that Google has created... Read More »

We applied our Crashlytics power and varnish to this problem. The end result: a streamlined experience for distributing apps that offers you a single, cross-platform toolset for iOS and Android. Beta distribution must be an intuitive process for you and your testers so that you can think about what matters — building your app, not stressing about getting testers... Read More »
